Wat to do?

I am doing the Past and future quest and I'm kinda stuck. The box where the "claw of death" is says that there is a magical force stopping me from getting it. I already got th egg and gave it to Stupid Kid, but I need to know wat to do to get the claw from the box. It would be greatly appreciable. 3  out of 7 found this valuable. Do you?

MAN AFTER u give the egg to stupid kid u must talk to the mayor that is on the other side of the door down stairs and then u can go get the claw of death
